Contest!

Take a character. Any character at all. Be it a movie character, an anime character, a book character, etc (no matter how obscure), and draw them in a time period other than their own. ( Example - if your character comes from the middle ages, draw them in 2001 : A Space Odyssey timeline).



This is pretty much an anything goes contest. Pairings are completely fine. Mature content is fine. I'm not too big on yuri, but it won't affect the judging at all. Just, please, if you must do a pairing, steer clear of shota. I don't have a big problem with it, per se, but I know a lot of people do.

No stick figures. Please put some effort into it, or I will be forced to smite you with the Mallet o' Understanding.

You can have up to two entries. They can be just pictures, comics, whatever. If you pick comic, you can do a two page comic. It's really up to you.

It doesn't matter what context the picture is in, as long as it's a different timeline. But please be creative - no drawing the Naruto characters in Ancient Japanese NinjaWear (R). Now, whether you're drawing it as an AU, and they actually belong in that time period or whether they got poofed/magicked/warped/zapped/somethingelse-d into that time is completely up to you.

If you want to put in any original characters, that's fine. But there must be a movie/anime/manga/book character in there somewhere too. I'm not too terribly familiar with other people's OCs, save a select few, and therefore I don't know what timeline they actually come from, or whether it's a timeline you've made up.

Be sure to have a lot of fun with it! Feel free to embarrass the characters to your heart's content X3



There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners.

First Place

Three things from me. They can be a combination of things: Pencil sketch, tablet sketch, mini-comic ( oh lord ), fanfiction, and digital drawing ( different from tablet sketch, as you can clearly see from my gallery >.o ). As an example: You could pick tablet sketch, mini-comic, and fanfiction - you pick the subjects, and I'll do it - a picture, a one-page comic, and a one-shot. If you pick just mini-comic, I'll do a three-page comic; if you pick just fanfiction, I'll do a three-chapter fanfic ( unless otherwise requested ). Simple enough?

Second Place

Exactly the same as above, only with two things instead of three.

Third Place

Same as first place, but with just one picture/comic/etc.



Judging will take place when I close the contest. Contest will end whenever I freakin' feel like it. If you want to help judge as opposed to entering, let me know - I could use the help
